Founded by Andrea Cortonesi, Uccelliera farms organic Sangiovese in the warm, southern Castelnuovo dell'Abate corner of the zone — neighboring the famed Pianrosso vineyard. 100% Sangiovese, fermented with native yeasts and aged at least 24 months in large French and Slavonian oak botti. The 2020 is powerful yet polished: layered aromas of black cherry, wild berry, violet, tobacco, leather, and warm Tuscan spice, with a rich, concentrated palate kept vibrant by fine acidity and velvety tannins that carry a long, mineral-driven finish.
