5 Sentidos Cream Tobalá-Madrecuixe — Lalo Pérez
Price TBD · Arriving soon
A Cream-label private batch from young mezcalero Eduardo "Lalo" Pérez Cortés of El Nanche, Miahuatlán, Oaxaca — bottled June 2026 exclusively for the Chicago market. 60% wild-harvested Tobalá (agave potatorum and seemanniana) blended with 40% cultivated Madrecuixe (agave karwinskii) — a rare combination even by Lalo's standards. Lalo roasted the agaves in an underground conical oven with oak and mesquite firewood for seven days, hand-chopped them with a machete, mashed them with mesquite hammers, dry-fermented in a cypress sabino tank for two days followed by six more with well water, then double-distilled in copper alembic stills at his family's palenque in November 2025. Just 60 total liters produced (~80 bottles). Bottled at 49.0% ABV, adjusted by Lalo's own hand with heads, hearts and tails. Drop your email and we'll let you know the moment it lands on our shelf.
Pickup at 1128 W Armitage Ave, Chicago.
