An intriguing departure from the Dupuy family's Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion home base, 'Empreintes' is a Vin de France born from a blend of Côtes de Castillon and Bergerac fruit, giving the family room to work freely outside appellation rules. Four generations in, the Dupuys have gone further than most, earning Demeter biodynamic certification and bringing sons and daughters into the fold to deepen their commitment to the land. The 2021 blends 70% Merlot with 30% Syrah, an unconventional pairing that produces something genuinely distinctive: medium-light in body, with fresh, lively acidity and a long, supple finish. Unfined and unfiltered, with no added sulfites. A natural wine with real personality, best enjoyed with grilled meats, mushroom dishes, or simply on its own.
