Yamhill Valley's estate wine jumps out of the gate with concentrated aromas of blackberries, bittersweet dark chocolate and a trace of vanilla. It's almost like smelling a red velvet cake just out of the oven. The fruit flavors are equally dark and brambly, with a touch of lemon zest and saline. Velvety tannins make for a pleasurable landing.
