Resilient Straight Bourbon 7yr Brulee Finish Single Barrel

Single Barrel. 7-year-old straight bourbon from MGP. Distilled on a mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley. It is bottled uncut at 104.92 proof directly from a single barrel that received a secondary finish in a brulee barrel. A maple brulee barrel is a finishing barrel whose interior is coated with maple syrup and then torched until the syrup and wood sugars caramelize together into a glassy, burnt-sugar crust. The whiskey draws from that layer during finishing, picking up notes of maple toffee, toasted pecan, brown sugar, and vanilla char.
