Welcome. By using offpremisechicago.com, ordering from Off Premise Chicago ("we," "us," "our"), or subscribing to one of our clubs, you agree to these terms. Read them. They're written in plain English.
You must be 21 or older to use this site or buy from us. Illinois law requires it. Misrepresenting your age violates these terms and federal/state law.
Every order requires a valid government-issued ID at delivery or pickup. We will not release alcohol to anyone who appears intoxicated, anyone under 21, or anyone who cannot show ID — and we issue refunds (less any restocking fee) at our discretion in those cases.
Pickup orders are held at 1128 W Armitage Ave during regular shop hours. Pickups must be within 7 days of order placement. After 7 days we reserve the right to restock.
Local delivery is fulfilled via DoorDash Drive in Chicago. Delivery fees are quoted at checkout. Recipient must be 21+ with valid ID. Failed deliveries due to no recipient or invalid ID may forfeit the order.
Shipping is available within Illinois (and a small set of additional states where legally permitted). Shipping policies depend on the destination state's laws; we'll confirm at checkout if your address is eligible. Adult signature is required on delivery.
Prices on the site reflect current Square inventory. Inventory is checked at checkout — if a bottle has gone out of stock between when you added it to your cart and when you check out, we'll reach out to discuss substitution or refund. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to refuse an order if a price was clearly mistyped.
Before fulfillment: you can cancel any order before it's been picked up, delivered, or shipped. Reply to your order confirmation email or call (773) 770-3540. Full refund.
After fulfillment: Illinois law restricts the return of opened alcohol. We accept returns of unopened bottles within 7 days for store credit, or full refund if there's a defect (corked wine, broken seal, etc.). For shipping orders, contact us within 48 hours of receipt with a photo if anything arrived damaged.
If you subscribe to one of our bottle clubs (Wine Club, Burgundy Club, Off Premise Whiskey Club, etc.):
Discount codes (welcome codes, referral codes, win-back codes, etc.) are issued for one-time use unless explicitly stated otherwise. They cannot be combined with other offers, transferred, or sold. Codes have no cash value.
Our referral program ($5 give / $5 get) credits both parties when the new customer places their first qualifying order. Self-referrals are not eligible. We reserve the right to invalidate codes obtained through abuse.
Customer accounts use magic-link authentication (no passwords). Anyone with access to your email can log into your account. Treat your email as you would a password.
You're responsible for keeping your account information accurate. If your email or address is wrong, your orders may not reach you. We'll do our best to reach you if something fails, but ultimately the onus is on you.
The Vault is a curated selection of allocations and rare bottles only available to customers we've explicitly granted access to. Vault access is invitation-based and may be revoked at our discretion.
All content on the site (writing, photos, layout, code) is owned by Off Premise Chicago or used under license. Don't copy or republish substantial portions without written permission. Linking to or quoting our content is fine.
We provide the site and our products "as is." We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the site or our products beyond the amount you paid. Some jurisdictions don't allow this kind of limitation; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
If we change these terms in a way that materially affects you, we'll update the "Last updated" date and email registered customers a notice for substantive changes (e.g., changes to subscription billing terms).
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of the site will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois.
