Matthieu Barret "Petit Ours" VDF Rose

Matthieu Barret is best known for his Domaine du Coulet in Cornas, one of the northern Rhone's most celebrated appellations. "Petit Ours" (Little Bear) is his affectionate nickname, given to him by Jura legend Stephane Tissot, and it has stuck to both Barret and his line of more accessible, everyday wines. The rose is 100% Grenache sourced from organic vineyards in the southern Rhone, made naturally with no fining or filtration. The nose is bright and floral, leading into a palate of strawberry, plum, and ripe orchard fruit with gentle mineral notes running underneath. There is a subtle sense of richness to the fruit, but the wine stays dry, crisp, and refreshing with lively acidity keeping everything in balance. It is silky in texture, aromatic, and deeply easy to drink.
