Bosco del Merlo Pinot Grigio Rosato
$20.00
Founded in 1977 by the Paladin family in Annone Veneto, Bosco del Merlo takes its name from the oak forests that once blanketed this corner of northeastern Italy between the Veneto and Western Friuli. The estate is now run by third-generation cousins Francesca and Martina Paladin, who have deepened the family's commitment to sustainability across all operations and earned Equalitas certification, one of Italy's most rigorous 360-degree sustainability standards covering environmental, social, and economic practices. The Pinot Grigio Rosato is part of Bosco del Merlo's "Life in Rose" initiative, with a portion of proceeds donated annually to breast cancer research and healthy lifestyle programs. The wine is 100% Pinot Grigio, harvested in two passes to achieve optimal ripeness, then vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with a brief skin maceration to extract its signature copper-pink color. No oak, no additives, and nothing to get in the way of what the grape and the terroir want to say. The color is a beautiful deep copper with a soft pink blush. The nose is fragrant and precise, with dried flowers, Williams pear, and wild strawberry woven together with a quiet mineral underpinning drawn from the clay-rich soils at the foothills of the Carnic Alps. On the palate it is dry, medium-bodied, and refreshingly savory, with lovely balance between fruit and acidity and a clean, lingering finish.
