Soter Vineyard's Planet Oregon Sparkling Rosé
$28.00 · Sold out
Soter Vineyard's Planet Oregon Sparkling Rosé is 100% organically grown Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley, bottled under the estate's second label with traditional-method attention and a bare 3 grams per liter residual sugar. The 2021 vintage delivers the bright acidity and fine persistent mousse you expect from Oregon sparkling wine, crafted by one of the valley's benchmark producers with the same precision that defines the flagship Soter cuvées. Tony Soter founded the estate on certified organic principles, protecting the streams and wildlife corridors that thread through his hillside parcels in Yamhill-Carlton. The grapes for Planet Oregon are estate-grown under the same regimen: no synthetic herbicides, minimal intervention in the cellar, careful monitoring of energy and carbon footprint across harvest and bottling. A portion of every case sold supports the Oregon Environmental Council's work on water quality and sustainable agriculture statewide. The wine ferments with indigenous yeasts and spends extended time on the lees before disgorgement, building the creamy texture that balances the fruit. The palate opens with wild strawberry, raspberry, and citrus zest, layered with rhubarb and cherry on a frame of bright acidity. The bubbles are fine and persistent, the finish is crisp and clean, and the low dosage keeps the wine lean and refreshing rather than sweet. Pour it for brunch with smoked salmon and crème fraîche, pair it with charcuterie and aged cheddar, or drink it as an aperitif before dinner. The whole bottle contains less sugar than a single White Claw, which makes it an easy reach when you want sparkling wine that won't weigh you down. In stock at Off Premise in Lincoln Park.
