Wolf Point Distillery takes its name from the fork in the Chicago River where the city's first permanent trading post stood in the 1820s. The distillery sources Midwestern corn and rye, ferments in-house, and ages its bourbon in new charred American oak barrels stacked in their Chicago warehouse. The four-year rest gives the spirit time to pull vanilla, caramel, and oak tannin from the wood while the 21% rye content keeps the spice structure visible through the finish.
