Lost Lore bottles are produced at the Vivanco family distillery in Los Altos by Master Distiller Sergio Cruz, with 100% Tequilana Weber blue agave sourced from the volcanic red-clay soils that give highland tequila its ripe, fruit-forward character. The agave is cooked in a traditional stone-and-brick horno, crushed by roller mill, and fermented in stainless-steel tanks with deep-well water before being twice distilled in copper pot stills. The reposado rests in American oak, then sees a finishing period with Mizunara chips — a technique borrowed from Japanese cooperage that imparts a gentle, aromatic lift without the heavy vanilla or caramel of extended barrel aging.
