Arette Tequila — Tequila Valley Estate-Grown

Why we carry them

Arette has been making tequila on its estate at the foot of the Tequila Volcano since 1986. Every bottle in the lineup is 100% estate-grown Blue Weber agave, harvested from fields immediately around the town of Tequila itself. The valley's lower elevation, hotter climate, and mineral-rich soil produce a more peppery, vegetal, terroir-forward agave than the highland (Los Altos) style. Arette is the cleanest example of that tradition we keep on the shelf.

The lineup

Blanco — luminous, transparent, intense agave aroma with the smooth body Arette is known for.
Reposado 1L — autoclave-cooked, roller-mill crushed, rested in oak. Stainless pot with copper coil distillation. Vanilla and toasted oak over agave.
Artesanal Suave Añejo — the small-batch artisanal line. Stone & brick oven cooking, cement-tank open-air fermentation, twice-distilled. Stretched aging.
Artesanal Suave Reposado — same artisanal production process; rested rather than aged.
Fuerte Artesanal Blanco · 101 Proof — high-proof Blanco for serious cocktails. The agave's full peppery profile, undiluted.

Tequila Valley vs. the Highlands

When tequila people argue "Lowland vs. Highland" — Arette is the Lowland (Tequila Valley) reference point. Where Highland agave (G4, Lost Lore, Tierra de Ensueño) leans sweeter, fruitier, gentler, the Tequila Valley style runs more peppery, mineral, and vegetal. Tasting Arette Blanco against G4 Blanco is the easiest single flight in the store to understand what tequila terroir actually tastes like.
